Biography

High School: Ruiz comes to NM State having lettered for three years at Sandia High School where she played alongside Jasarra Baca and was the No. 10 recruit out of New Mexico according to MaxPreps.com. The forward accumulated 53 points during her career and helped guide the Matadors to the state quarterfinals in back-to-back years. Ruiz found the back of the net 23 times in her career while dishing out seven assists as well. Her best year came during her senior campaign where she tallied 21 points (9 goals, 3 assists).
 
Personal: Ruiz is undecided on her major while at NM State.
