Biography

2025 (Junior): Played and started in 18 games for the Crimson & White, totaling 1,486 minutes - second most on the team… helped the Aggies get a shutout win against ACU (8/17)... battled in the shutout against rival UTEP (10/25)... 

2024 (Sophomore): Appeared in 17 games, only starting one for the Aggies… tallied a goal in the first non-loss against Power Four competition No.23 USC (8/15)... in her first collegiate start against CUSA Foe Liberty (11/8), Herrera marked a season high playing 81 minutes. 

2023 (Freshman): Made appearances in five games during her first season in the Crimson & White… Played a career-best 55 minutes in the final game of the regular season against Western Kentucky (10/27). 

Before NM State: Graduated from nearby Centennial HS... also played women’s basketball... earned Defender of the Year honors in 2021, and player of the year honors in 2022. 

Personal: Has spent time with the Guatemalan National Team... brother Aaron Herrera played three seasons at New Mexico, and has played in the MLS since 2016... Majoring in Criminal Justice.
