2009 (Freshman): Yard redshirted in 2009.

High School/Club: Yard was a highly decorated defensive specialist from Barbados where she was the player of the year for the Barbados Football Association Women’s League U20 Team in 2008. Yard scored the first international goal for the Barbados U20 National Team in the World Cup qualifying match against Cuba. As vice captain, she also led the team to a solid 3-2 win over Anguilla. Yard led her club team to a pair of Barbados Football Association League Cups in 2007 and 2008, and was named to the Barbados all-star team for her strong performance. In 2007, Yard was named the league’s most outstanding defender and was also named as the Pro-Shottas Soccer School’s best defender. In addition, Yard attended the top grammar school in Barbados, Queens College.

Personal: Yard was born in Barbados to Steven and Ann-Marie Yard. She is pursuing a degree in compute and electric engineering.
