New Mexico State University Athletics

2017: Had a breakout junior season, which began when she scored the golden goal to defeat Battle of I-10 rival UTEP (8/19), 2-1, in double-overtime…closed out the season with 9 goals and 4 assists…played in 17 games with 16 starts…scored the winning goal against Battle I-25 rival, New Mexico (8/24) 1-0...her four game-winning goals set a new single-season high...also owned a .469 shots on goal clip on the year…academic All-WAC recipient.    

2016: Appeared in all 20 games with 12 starts... Second on the team in goals with four...tied for the team lead in assists with three...recorded 11 total points, which was good for second on the team...scored a pair of goals at CSU Bakersfield (10/23)...Academic All-Conference selection in the WAC.

2015: Started 15-of-20 matches in her freshman campaign...recorded four goals and one assist for nine points in 1218 minutes of action…recorded her first collegiate goal against Lamar (9/6)…picked up her first collegiate assist at Prairie View A&M (9/20)…scored a goal in NM State’s 2-1 WAC opener over UTRGV…knocked in first of two goals for NM State in win over Grand Canyon (10/4)…booted in her fourth goal of the season against Chicago State (10/16)…named to Academic All-WAC Freshman/Transfer team.
 
High School: Played on varsity at Cleveland High School all four years…Named district player of the year as a junior and earned first-team all-state and first-team all-district her junior and senior seasons.
 
Personal: Daughter of Lucas Chavez and Audra Castillo…has three younger siblings, two sisters (Amaya and Analisa) and one brother (Lucas)…majoring in kinesiology.
