Biography

2013 (Junior): Luhrsen started in 11 of the 15 games she played. With nine total shots and eight shots on goal Luhrsen ended the season with an average of .60 shots per game and .20 points per game. Luhrsen recorded .889 shots on goal percentage and had one assist on the season. She also had one of the Aggies three goals in the season-opening win over Omaha (8/23). She had three shots on goal at Bakersfield (10/11) as the Aggies narrowly lost 2-1 in double overtime. She was named to the Academic All-WAC team.

2012 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Luhrsen played in 14 matches, and she started in seven contests. Luhrsen recorded six shots in 2012, and she fired one shot on goal in the 0-0 double overtime draw against Utah State (Sept. 28). She earned Academic All-WAC honors.

2011 (Freshman): In her first season with the Crimson and White, Luhrsen played in 19 matches and started in 12 games. She scored four goals, which tied for second-best on the team, and had three game-winning goals, which tied for first on the squad. As a freshman, Luhrsen recorded 14 shots, seven shots on goal and .500 shots on goal percentage. In her first career start, Luhrsen scored her first career goal, which was the game-winning score, in the 4-0 win over Prairie View A&M (Aug. 26). She also had a goal in the 7-0 win over Embry-Riddle (Sept. 23). Luhrsen scored the game-winning goals in both matches against Hawai'i in 2011. In the 1-0 win over the Rainbow Wahine (Oct. 28), Luhrsen had the lone goal in the 51st minute to help the Aggies earn a berth to the WAC Tournament. She also had the game-winning score in the 63rd minute to secure a 2-1 win over Hawai'i (Nov. 3) for NM State's first WAC Tournament victory in school history. She earned Academic All-WAC Freshman/Transfer team honors.

High School/Club: Huntington Beach, Calif., native, Luhrsen joined the Aggies after four seasons at Marina High School. In 2011, she was named team captain for the Vikings. Luhrsen was a two-time second team All-Sunset League selection. As a sophomore, she led Marina to the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section second round. In her freshman season, Luhrsen was named varsity rookie of the year and the Vikings finished third in the league and were CIFSS quarterfinalists.

Personal: She is the daughter of Alexander and Diane Luhrsen and was born in Anaheim, Calif. Luhrsen is majoring in journalism.
