2009 (Senior): In her lone season with the Aggies, Graul made quite an impact in goal for the Crimson and White. She earned first team All-WAC honors, a program first, following a league-best 115 saves and 6.05 saves per game. Also, all three of Graul’s shutouts occurred in WAC play, which was a conference high. She started in all 19 matches and posted a 1.23 goals against average and .827 save percentage. Graul was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 12) after she recorded two shutouts in her first two career WAC road matches. At Fresno State (Oct. 9), she collected six saves in NM State’s 2-0 victory. Graul then held San Jose State (Oct. 11) scoreless through 110 minutes to record the 0-0 double-overtime tie. In the Aggies home opener against Idaho State (Aug. 23), Graul grabbed a season-high 14 saves. She also snagged three saves in 45 minutes of action in NM State’s first home victory, the team’s first shutout, a 3-0 decision over Texas-Permian Basin (Sept. 16). In the Aggies first WAC match, Graul recorded her first career shutout in a 1-0 overtime win over Boise State (Oct. 2).
Prior to NM State: Graul transferred to NM State from Loyola Marymount where she was a goalkeeper for the Lions during the 2008 season. Prior to LMU, Graul played for Santiago Canyon College in Orange, Calif., where she led the Hawks to a 51-2-1 overall record during her two-year stint. She guided SCC to back-to-back Orange Empire League titles and regional championships. She also led the Hawks to a state championship her freshman season and to the state championship finals her sophomore season. As a sophomore, Graul was named a first team all-American, a first team all-league honoree and a first team all-region selection. Throughout her final season at SCC, Graul played in 21 games, posted 16 shutout victories and only allowed six goals the entire season. As a freshman, she was named the team’s most valuable defensive player and an all-league honorable mention honoree. Graul played in 13 games, registered 12 shutouts and only allowed three goals in her freshman season.
High School/Club: Graul is a 2006 graduate of San Clemente High School in San Clemente, Calif., where she led the Tritons to a 65-14-23 high school record. She paced the team to four consecutive South Coast League Championships and two California Interscholastic Federation Championships. As a senior, Graul was named the South Coast League Most Valuable Player, a first team all-league selection, a second team all-country honoree, a first team LA Times All-County member, a third team All-California Interscholastic Federation honoree and to the Division 13 South Country All-Star Team. Additionally, she played in the Division I All-Star game.
Personal: Graul is the daughter of Jerry and Shauna Graul and was born in San Clemente, Calif. She is majoring in communication.
