Biography

2012 (Freshman): Valdez played in 10 matches for the Aggies in 2012, and she started in the final two contests of the season. Valdez scored her first career goal against UTSA (Oct. 21) on a career-high four shots against the Roadrunners. In the following match at Seattle (Oct. 26), Valdez collected her first-career assist.

High School/Club: An Orange, Calif., native, Valdez joined the Aggies after leading Orange Lutheran High School in both goals (19) and assists (11) en route to earning Orange County Register's First Team All-County honors. In her senior season, she collected first team All-Trinity League accolades. Valdez guided the Lancers to a second-place finish in the league and the California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section Division I quarterfinals. She concluded her career with 38 goals and 23 assists. In her junior campaign, she was a second team All-Trinity League selection and offensive player of the year. Valdez earned second team all-league honors and the rookie of the year award in 2008-09 after leading the team to a third-place league showing.

Personal: Valdez is the daughter of Shannon and Erica Valdez and was born in Fountain Valley, Calif. She is pursuing a degree in criminal justice.
