LOCKIN' IT UP
The NM State football team is 3-1 at home this season in Aggie Memorial Stadium and could match its home record of 4-1 from the 2004 season. Its only loss that year was against New Mexico.

DYNAMIC DUO
Rodney Butler (139), the nation's leading tackler, and Dalton Herrington (94) combined total of 233 tackles is most by any two players in FBS football with Virginia's pair of Kiser (120)/Blanding (109) right on their tails for the national lead.

EYING THE MOUNTAINEERS
Appalachian State comes into the contest Saturday 8-3 on the year and is second in Sun Belt Play at 6-1. The Mountaineer's last win came against ULM at home 42-17 in their final home game at Kidd Brewer Stadium. Quarterback Taylor Lamb leads the team with 13 passing touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns as well. Sophomore running back Jalin Moore paces the team in the rushing department, rumbling across the goal line nine times in 204 attempts for 1,256 net yards. Senior running back Marcus Cox is right on Moore's tail with eight runs into the end zone with 732 yards on 120 carries. Lamb is third on that list while J.P. Caruso is the only other Mountaineer to score a rushing a touchdown.

Shaedon Meadors, a 6-2 wide out, leads the receiving corps for Appalachian State with 626 yards and one touchdown. However, it is Barrett Burns who leads the receivers with three catches to the house. But, Lamb doesn't really have a favorite receiver as he's thrown 15 different receivers – 11 of which have found the back of the end zone.

Eric Boggs is the team's leading tackler with 88 total tackles (38 solo) with three interceptions, three sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss. Opposite of Boggs is Kennan Gilchrist, who owns a team-best 11 tackles for loss to go with his 77 total tackles (40 solo) and three sacks. Clifton Duck, a freshman, has been a hawk on the ball for App and has a team-high five picks on the year with eight defensive break-ups and two sacks.

IN THE NATION
Heading into week 13 of the 2016 season, several players as well as the team ranks in the top-50 nationally amongst Football Subdivision Teams.

Senior linebacker Rodney Butler still leads the nation in total tackles with 139 (13.9/game). Fellow linebackers Dalton Herrington (94), Jacob Nwangwa (83) and Terrill Hanks (76) checks in at 20th 64th and 106th, respectively, in the country. The three Aggies also claim the top-10 spots in the Sun Belt Conference, checking in at Nos. 1, 3, 7 and 12. In the solo tackles department, Butler sits in 21st with 54 (5.4/game). Butler's three forced fumbles ranks him 18th in the nation and second in the SBC while Hanks' two FFs is tied for fifth in the league. Jaden Wright also moved into 20th in the country with four interceptions on the year and third in the Sun Belt.

Offensively, Tyler Rogers is ranked No. 33 in the country with 266.9 passing yards per game while his total of 2,588 has him sitting at No. 33. His 22.00 completions per game is good for 19th in the country and second in the SBC.

Freshman Peyton Theisler sits at No. 42 in the country after averaging 42.4 yards per punt through nine games.

AROUND THE BELT
Entering this weekend, NM State is in second when it comes to total offense (4,273 yards) behind league leader Troy and first in the passing offense (2,737 yards) category.

Tyler Rogers continues to lead the Sun Belt in total offense with 291.2 yards per game while his 258.8 passing yards per game is second in the league.

On the defensive end, NM State has three represented in the league's top-10 tacklers list in Rodney Butler (No. 1), Dalton Herrington (No. 3) and Jacob Nwangwa (No. 7). Terrill Hanks is tied for 10th with 10.0 tackles for loss while Butler's three forced fumbles has him in second amongst SBC players. Jaden Wright is in third with four interceptions on the year.
