PHOENIX, Ariz. – The NM State women's tennis team blanked Mesa Community on Wednesday in its non-conference match-up prior to opening up Western Athletic Conference play.
Â
The Aggies (3-7) took care of business in doubles action to start of the day, cruising to wins on all three courts.
Â
Singles play came as easy as it did in doubles action for NM State as
Ashvarya Shrivastav made quick work of her opponent – 6-0, 6-1 – at No. 2 singles.
Â
Playing at the No. 5 spot once again,
Lindsay Harlas recorded a 6-0, 6-3 win over Mesa CC's No. 5 singles player.
Chloe Jolliff shut the door on the Thunderbirds soon after when she ousted her foe 6-2, 6-0.
Â
Rimpledeep Kaur,
Eli Arnaudova and
Mia Brandt completed the sweep – winning their matches in that order.
Â
The Aggies now get ready to defend their title as Western Athletic Championships, beginning with UT Rio Grande Valley on Friday, March 18.
