Kicker Parker Davidson hit a career-high four field goals, which included a personal best 45-yard field goal, to spur the Aggies to victory.

"That's what a rival game is supposed to be, down to the wire," said head coach Doug Martin. "We've had a couple of those. I'm really proud of our team, the way they fought tonight. They just wouldn't give up. The defense stepped up and made plays, the offense stepped up and made plays. It was a great team win for our fans and for the students of this university."

Rogers amassed his second consecutive 200-yard passing game of the 2016 season. With 205 yards against the Lobos, Rogers now has 12 200-yard passing games in his career. Rogers amassed those yards with 21 completions on 35 attempts. In addition, the senior racked up two touchdown passes.

This is the first meeting between the Aggies and next Saturday's opponent, Kentucky. The Wildcats are 0-2 this season after a 44-35 loss to Southern Miss on opening weekend and a 45-7 loss at Florida last Saturday.

During the game against the Gators, Kentucky amassed 149 yards of total offense with 94 rushing yards and 55 passing yards.
