LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of the Pan American Center when it hosts Denver on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m. (MT).

Game Day Promotion
Tuesday is the first chance for fans to secure an exclusive Aggie hat at an NM State women's basketball game this season. The first 250 fans receive the crimson golf-style hat.
 
Scouting the Pioneers
Denver visits Las Cruces with a 7-2 record and is coming off a 71-70 win over Southern Utah. The Pioneers boast a prolific offense that ranks eighth nationally in scoring offense (86.5), ninth in three-point field goals per game (10.3) and fifth in three-point field-goal percentage (42.9).
 
Denver's attack is led by junior Lauren Loven who is averaging 18.3 points per game while shooting 53.2% from the field and 60.6% from three. Loven has reached the 20-point mark six times in Denver's nine games.
 
Junior forward Madison Nelson is also key to the Pioneer offense, averaging nearly a double-double at 14.9 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game. Nelson has already notched four double-doubles on the season including a 23-point, 20-rebound effort in a 117-110 (2OT) home win against Lamar on Nov. 23.
 
Last Time Out
The New Mexico State women's basketball team visited rival New Mexico for the first leg of the Battle of I-25 on Dec. 1. Despite a season-high 26 points from Gia Pack, the Aggies dropped an 83-58 decision at The Pit.
 
Along with Pack's 26 points, Brooke Salas recorded her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Salas also moved into 10th place on the NM State all-time scoring list. Adenike Aderinto posted a career-high 12 points and seven rebounds.

The Battle of I-25 returns to the City of Crosses as the Aggies host rival New Mexico on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. (MT). As always, kids 12 and under as well as students with a valid student ID receive free entry to all NM State home games.
