LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State swimming and diving team returns to the Swimming and Diving Complex as it takes on Western Athletic Conference foe Idaho on Monday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. (MT).
Â
"The next three home meets this spring will be challenging and give us great preparation headed into the WAC Championships," said head coach
Rick Pratt. "They have good freestylers, divers and depth. We've had some battles with them and our team definitely views this as a rivalry-type meet. Training this week has been intense and the team returned from home ready to go. Hopefully we can recover well and translate that to some good dual meet swims. It's a little different having a meet on Monday, but it's a great way to start the spring and we'll be ready to compete."
Â
The meet is set to take place in the traditional 16 event format with diving taking place in the outside pool with swimming taking place inside. Â Aggie swimmers and divers are set to compete in the 1m dive, 3m dive, 200 Medley relay, 1,000 Back, 200 Back, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 50 fly, 200 Fly, 200 Breast, 500 Fly, 100 Fly, 200 IM and 400 Free relay.
