LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's soccer team returns to the pitch when it hosts Western Athletic Conference foe CSU Bakersfield on Friday, Oct. 18, at 12 p.m. (MT) before hitting the road to take on Chicago State on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m.

Scouting the Runners
The Runners visit the Mesilla Valley with a 7-7-1 record and a 2-2 record in WAC play. Bakersfield is coming off of a 4-1 win over Kansas City. Last season, Bakersfield beat the Aggies 2-0 in Bakersfield.
Junior Eszter Toth leads the Runners offensive attack as leads the squad in points (12) and is tied for the team lead in goals with four. Jordan Martinez has also notched four goals on the season and sits in second on the squad in points with nine.
The Runners are anchored in the back by junior goalie Andrea Neves. The Hamburg, Germany, native holds a 1.65 goals-against average to go with 54 saves and a .701 save percentage.
A Look at the Cougars
Chicago State currently sits at 0-14 overall with a 0-3 mark in WAC action. In last year's matchup, the Aggies got two goals from
Audriana Chavez in a 2-1 win at the Soccer Complex.
The Cougars have only scored four goals on the season, with three of those coming from Barbara Castellanos. Julia Oliveira is the only other Cougar with a goal this season.
Judith Sorribes plays in net for Chicago State and sits at third nationally in saves per game (8.67) and second nationally in saves (104). Both numbers also lead the WAC. So far this season, Sorribes has a 3.60 goals-against average while her save percentage sits at .710.
Last Time Out
The Aggies hit the road for the first time in WAC play for trips to Utah Valley and Seattle U.
Against the Wolverines, the Aggies battled blow-for-blow but were unable to overcome a first half goal in a 1-0 loss. At Seattle U, NM State dropped a 5-0 decision to the preseason WAC favorites.
