TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's golf team completed the first two round of play at the Wildcat Invitational on Monday at the Sewailo Golf Club. After 36 holes, the Aggies fired a 302-313-615 (+39) with a tournament-leading two eagles and are in 10
th place.
For the NM State golfers, play has been led by
Kehler Koss who is tied for 18
th after shooting a 73-77—150 (+6). Koss currently leads the Aggies and is tied for second among the field with seven birdies after day one.
Dominique Galloway follows two strokes behind at 74-78—152 (+8) and is tied for 24
th.
Pun Chanachai carded a 77-76—153 (+9) and sits in a tie for 31
st. Chanachai and Galloway fired the two eagles for the Aggie squad, joining three other players in tournament play. In her first event with the Crimson & White,
Chantal Dueringer shot an 81-82—163 (+19) to tie for 80
th and
Maria Prado posted a 78-89—167 (+23) and is in 88
th.
With one round remaining, the team leaderboard is led by UNLV and NO. 43 Iowa State tied for first after posting team totals of 594 (+18), followed by host No. 9 Arizona in third at 595 (+19), No. 32 Oregon in fourth with a score of 599 (+23) and No. 17 Arizona State rounds out the top-five at 600 (+24).
The final round of play at the Wildcat Invite is set to tee off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. MT on Tuesday, March 12. Live scoring for the entire event can be followed on
