Â
This is the second All-American Scholar honor in a row for McGilton who was also named First-Team All-WAC. The Chandler, Ariz., native led the Aggies in stroke-average as he averaged 72.31 over 35 rounds. Campbell also excelled both in the classroom and on the course as he posted the second-lowest stroke-average on the squad with a 73.41. Aggie golfers have now been named All-American Scholars 20 times.
Â
As a team, New Mexico State received its second GCAA All-Academic Team award in the last three years, and third overall, with the 2016-17 and 2012-13 squads also earning the honor. For consideration, a college or university must submit GPAs for each player on their official squad list for the academic year and the team GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
