@NMStateSwimDive Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

Aggies honored by CSCAA for 10th-straight year.

COLORADO SRPINGS, Colo. – The New Mexico State University swimming and diving team was named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association Scholar All-America team for the spring 2020 semester, the CSCAA announced Tuesday.

"No team was unaffected by this spring's pandemic but Athletic Director Moccia ad Chancellor Arvizu can and should be proud of the team and the work of [head coach] Rick Pratt," CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart said.

The CSCAA named 461 teams across NCAA Division I Scholar All-America teams.

"I am really proud of our efforts in the classroom through these challenging times," Pratt added. "Our team flourished despite our situation and we had our highest team GPA ever with a 3.68 and 11 4.0s.  It says a lot about our team culture and academic support that we receive.  Since I've been here over 15 seasons our team has never dropped below a 3.2 and that is something we take great pride in."

The Aggies posted an impressive 3.68 GPA for the Spring 2020 semester, marking the 30th-consecutive semester that the Aggies have recorded a GPA of 3.2 or higher.  With Pratt at the helm, NM State has earned CSCAA Scholar Al-America honors every year since the organization was founded in 2010.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
