LAS CRUCES, N.M. -
 New Mexico State men's golf is back.
The Aggies open their 2021 spring season at the Arizona Intercollegiate, hosted by Arizona, in Tucson, Ariz., at Sewailo Golf Club. The three-day tournament gets underway on Monday, Jan. 25, and concludes on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
THE FIELD
The 17-team field includes NM State, host Arizona, BYU, Denver, Iowa State, LMU, New Mexico, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego, San Francisco, ULM, UNLV, Utah, Wake Forest, Washington and Washington State.
THE HISTORY
The Aggies carded a 13th-place finish during last year's Arizona Intercollegiate at Sewailo Golf Club, coming in at 30-over-par 882. New Mexico State was led by freshman
Trey Diehl's top-50 finish, as the Farmington, N.M., native fired an overall seven-over 220.Â
Tournament host Arizona has claimed the event's team championship in each of the last three years, coming in at 23-under-par 831 to claim last season's title. Washington's Henry Lee and Arizona's Trevor Werbylo shared the individual title one year ago, both firing a 10-under 203.
THEÂ FIVESOME
Five freshmen make up NM State's season-opening lineup.
Scott Rescigno,
Aidan Thomas,
Mauricio Figueroa,
Matthew Jackman and
Trey Diehl will represent the Aggies on the course.
Rescigno tees off at 10:10 am MT Monday, followed by Thomas and Figueroa at 10:20 am MT. Jackman and Diehl, meanwhile, get going at 10:30 am MT.
