SEATTLE, Wash. - The NM State women's soccer team (4-10-1) was unable to come back from an early two-goal deficit in a 3-0 loss to Seattle U (9-4-2) Thursday night at Championship Field in Seattle, Wash.
The Redhawks started fast with two goals in the first 15 minutes to give them the early lead. After getting some good scoring chances in the first 10 minutes, the Aggie offense slowed down and mustered just four shots in the match. The Aggie defense kept the game close, but the Redhawks delivered the knockout punch with a goal in the 76th minute.
Megan Ormson and
Jocelyn Tallent-Burleson recorded the only shots on goal for the Aggies.
Makenna Gottschalk recorded five saves to bring her season total to 59.
The two teams will be back in action against the Redhawks on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and will be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network.
