QUOTABLE | THOBILE AMON

It was exciting running with the girls again. I mean we were so close to each other we got 5 girls in the top 15. My twin sister (Thulisile Amon) and I ran sub-21. I ran 20:44 and she ran 20:52. And the whole team did pretty good we had a couple of the girls run huge PRs too. I think as team we did very well like each race there is a huge improvement and that shows how strong we are as a team. And we finished second as Team!!! That's exciting and it's up from here !!! We are super excited for WAC and regionals because I think we got what it takes to should people who the Aggies are! We are unstoppable, unshakable, like they know us down, but we get up again.

COMING UP NEXT

• NM State M/W Cross Country teams will be back in two weeks when they head to College Station, Texas for the Arturo Barrios Invitational hosted by the Texas A&M. That meet is scheduled for Saturday, October 15. This well be the last meet before both team's head to Nacogdoches, Texas for the 2022 WAC Cross Country Championships on October 29.
