LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Coming off back-to-back shutout victories, NM State soccer is back home this week to take on the Nevada Wolf Pack. This match is the Aggies' final non-conference matchup before opening up conference play next week at home against Utah Valley.
This week, the Aggies will be looking for their third straight victory after going 2-0 last week against UTEP and Portland State. The defense was the headline following last weekend's matchups - NM State outscored their opponents 6-0 and outshot them 33-7.
Makenna Gottschalk recorded five saves over the weekend, earning her WAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors. She is currently tied for second in the conference with 20 saves for the season.
Nevada is coming into this match as winners for the first time after defeating Sacramento State 3-0. Before that, the Wolf Pack bolstered a record of 0-2-1 after falling to UC Riverside and Idaho and tying Eastern Washington. After their date with the Aggies, Nevada will be headed to the Sun City to face UTEP before returning home.
Tomorrow's kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at the NM State Soccer Complex.

Next Up
This will be the final non-conference game of the year for the Aggies. After their match with Nevada, NM State will host Utah Valley to open up conference play. After that, Seattle U will come into town to close out this five-game home stand before the Aggies hit the road to face UTRGV.
