Aggies seeking first Conference Championship as members of CUSA

RESULTS

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Throughout the cross country season, the Aggies have put in countless hours fine-tuning and perfecting their craft, trying to be the best versions of themselves as student-athletes. Tomorrow morning, the culmination of their labor comes to a head at the CUSA Cross Country Championships, hosted by Western Kentucky University.

"We are really excited that we get to run against some great competition in a new conference." said Head Coach Joseph Rath. "The teams have progressed well through the season and will be focused on what they can give on the day. It is also pretty fortuitous that we will run the same day our soccer team competes in Bowling Green for their Conference USA regular season title!"

Friday marks the last meet of the season for the Aggies, running at the Riverview Golf Course at Hobson Grove Park in Bowling Green, Ky. – home of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. This will be NM State's first conference meet as members of CUSA, joined by other first-time participants Jax State, Liberty and Sam Houston.

The meet will begin with the men's 8k, starting at 8:00 a.m. MT while the women's 6k will follow at approximately 9:00 a.m. MT. Fans can follow along with the results thanks to snapresults.

Every team from CUSA will be in attendance – FIU, JAX STATE, Liberty, LA Tech, MTSU, Sam Houston, UTEP and WKU – along with the Aggies. This will be the first time the Aggies will see their conference foes in action, besides NM State's I-25 rivals. During the regular season, NM State and UTEP had identical schedules, sharing the course in every meet this season.
