NM State now prepares for the track & field season, beginning in 2024. Last season, the Aggies took home the 2023 Outdoor WAC title, their first in 19 years, behind wins in the 200m and 400m by Jhana Downie, a school-record time in the 400m hurdles by Terice Steen, and a quartet of second-place finishes. This will be NM State's first track & field season as members of Conference USA – in 2023, Charlotte track & field won the indoor title, while Rice took home the crown during outdoor season.
