RESULTS
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Coming off an appearance at the CUSA Cross Country Championships, NM State travels up I-25 to participate in the NCAA Mountain Regional, hosted by Texas Tech. This marks the second time this season the Aggies will run in Lubbock, partaking in the Texas Tech Open on Sept. 15.
 
Ten Aggies will make the trip to the Lone Star State – six on the women's side and four on the men's side – with four making their first showing at the NCAA Regionals.
 
Following a successful season and finishing most of the year as the Aggies' top finisher on the men's side, 
Thomas Croshaw will make his first NCAA Regional appearance. Alongside Croshaw, 
Adams Biwott (first entrance into a 10k race), 
Kayla O'Connell (personal best of 21:48.1 in the 6k), and 
Jordan Torres (PR of 22:40.2 in the 6k, set at 2023 Arturo Barrios Invitational) will also make their NCAA debuts.
 
The men's 10k will begin at 9 a.m. MT, with the women's 6k following at 9:00 a.m. MT. Fans can follow along with the results thanks to 
PrimeTime Timing.
 
Twenty teams including NM State compete in the mountain division, including programs such as New Mexico, UTEP, Utah Valley, Southern Utah, Nevada, BYU, Texas Tech and Utah, among others. Northern Arizona and BYU take the top two spots in the current USTFCCCA Regional Rankings.

The Switchback | 2023 CUSA Championships | 10.28.23
 
	- Thobile Amon (21:55.2) and Thulisile Amon (22:00.3) finished sixth and seventh respectively to earn All-CUSA First Team honors, becoming the first Aggies to do so as members of Conference USA. This also becomes their first First-Team selections, with both earning second team All-Conference honors last season in the Western Athletic Conference.
- Thomas Croshaw placed as the top finisher on the men's side, taking 13th with a time of 23:42.2. For his efforts, he was named the 2023 CUSA Championships Freshman of the Meet.
-  Emily Stutesman (22:10.7) and Maggie Gibbs (22:19.1) recorded their second Second Team All-CUSA selections, both previously earning the distinction at the 2022 WAC Championships.
- As a team, the women finished tied for second with Liberty with 61 points, though lost a tiebreaker to officially take third, while the men took home fifth place.

	- As a team, NM State finished fifteenth and were paced by Emily Stutesman. The First Team All-WAC selection crossed the line in 21:24.7, finishing sixtieth among competitors. 
- Collins Yego and Anekin Hetman represented the men's team as individuals in the postseason. Yego led the way on Friday, finishing the 10K in 30:13.9.
