Becomes the first NM State athlete to win the award since joining the conference in 2023.

DALLAS – Sophomore Thomas Croshaw earned the program's first Conference USA Men's Athlete of the Week Award, in an announcement from the league on Tuesday, Oct. 1. This is the first cross country athlete of the week award for the Aggies as members of CUSA.

Croshaw led the way for the Crimson & White at the Dave Murray Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., finishing eighth overall in the 8K with a time of 23:31.6, a new personal best. Croshaw's result helped the men take fourth overall, with a total of 110 points.

With Croshaw's honor, this becomes NM State's first Athlete of the Week award since March 29, 2023, when Jhana Downie earned Women's Track Athlete of the Week in the Western Athletic Conference.

The Aggies will compete once more in the regular season, taking their talents to the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station, hosted by Texas A&M on Friday, Oct. 18. Following the meet, NM State will look ahead to the 2024 CUSA Cross Country Championships, held in Oxford, Ala., at Choccolocco Park on Sat, Nov. 2.
