TEXARKANA, Ark. – The NM State men's golf team begins its quest for a Conference USA Championship this Monday as they get set to compete with the other nine league institutions at Texarkana Country Club.
 
The four-day event will open with 54 holes of stroke play beginning Monday morning at 7 a.m. MT. Following 54 holes of competition, the top four teams will be placed into a bracket with the No. 1 seed playing the No. 4 seed and the No. 2 seed playing the No. 3 seed in match play semifinals. The two winning programs will then advance to play in match play for the championship.
 
While in Arkansas, the Aggies will play alongside Middle Tennessee State, Sam Houston, Liberty, UTEP, LA Tech, Jax State and Western Kentucky.
 
The Aggies will be represented by Alvaro Morales, Anthony Lara, Javier Delgadillo, River Smalley and Alexandre Bauduin. Last week, the Aggies competed in the Mossy Oak Collegiate hosted by Mississippi State in West Point, Miss. There, NM State finished 14th (+27) and was led by Anthony Lara who finished tied for 30th (+2).
 
The Aggies will be paired with Western Kentucky on the first day of action and are scheduled to begin their opening round at 9 a.m. MT.
