LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State Aggies are set to play the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a doubleheader next month on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. The Naranjeros de Hermosillo are a professional team from Mexico who play in the Mexican Pacific League.

The Aggies are coming off their first year in the Conference USA and first year under Head Coach
Jake Angier where they recorded their most wins since 2019.

"I couldn't be more excited to welcome the Naranjeros de Hermosillo baseball club to Las Cruces and our community," said Head Coach
Jake Angier. "All the proceeds from this game will go towards supporting the Aggie baseball program. This day has the making of being a very special day for the Aggies. Your attendance and support are vital to the progression of the baseball program."

Both games of the doubleheader will be seven innings. General seating along the baselines is $30, and seating behind home plate is $50 with just 115 seats available. An all-inclusive option is available for $100, providing seating in the first four rows behind home plate and access to the beer garden which includes food and beverages. Â

The Naranjeros de Hermosillo baseball club is located in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. They have 17 championships in their history. In the 2023-24 season, they were crowned champions of the Mexican Pacific League.

Money raised from the event will go directly to the NM State baseball program.
