Jonatan Clough Earns Second Team All-Conference USA Recognition

Clough becomes seventh Aggie to garner All-CUSA honors.

DALLAS – Following the conclusion of the regular season, NM State Baseball saw one Aggie earn all-conference recognition, as Jonatan Clough was named a Second Team All-Conference USA selection, the league office announced on Tuesday following a vote of the league's 12 head coaches.

Clough appeared in 43 games this season and made 41 starts, emerging as one of the most consistent bats in the NM State lineup. He ranked second among Aggies in batting average (.331) while ranking ninth overall in Conference USA.

One of just five hitters in the league to record 11 or more doubles in conference play, Clough also showcased elite extra-base ability. He finished the regular season first in Conference USA and tied for fourth nationally in triples with seven. In conference play alone, he recorded four triples to pace all CUSA hitters.

In addition to his ability to stretch hits into extra bases, Clough ranked fifth in the conference in slugging percentage and 15th in on-base percentage.

His year was highlighted by a performance on March 10, when Clough delivered one of the most dominant single-game efforts in Conference USA this season. He recorded five hits — tied for the most by any CUSA player in a game this year — and drove in seven runs, the third-highest single-game RBI total in the conference during the 2026 campaign.
