LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State Baseball is set to open its gates for the third annual Duel in the Desert, a unique fall baseball event designed to celebrate Aggie Baseball and create a great experience for families and fans of all ages.
The 2026 edition of the Duel in the Desert is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Presley Askew Field at Johnson Stadium and will feature Team Black and Team Crimson battling in an exhibition game with fan interaction playing a role throughout the evening.
"This event is all about creating a fun, memorable experience for our fans while giving them a chance to connect with our players and program," said Head Coach
Jake Angier. "We want Aggie families, baseball fans and members of the community to come out, enjoy great food, have fun and be part of the action."
Tickets are $25 per person and include unlimited food and drinks throughout the event. Fans can enjoy offerings from eight or more vendors, including food and drinks from local restaurants.
Fans in attendance will have their first opportunity to meet the Aggies as players greet guests at the entrance when gates open. Additionally, young fans will have the chance to become part of the action through a series of on-field contests that can directly impact the outcome of the game.
