TUCSON, Ariz. – The NM State men's tennis team competed at the Kinlen & Vivian Gee Wildcat Invitational over the weekend and produced some solid results in the early goings of the 2026-27 campaign.
 
In singles action, the Aggies were led by Kale Mize who recorded back-to-back straight-set wins in the Saguaro Flight as he defeated players from San Diego State and UNLV to reach the finals. Mize then knocked off Tristan Berard of Arizona to win the Saguaro flight. In the top flight, Tobias Wallin collected a 6-1, 6-2 win over Andrew Lavine of New Mexico.
 
Sander Paradis also collected a hard-fought win in the Monsoon flight, knocking off Northern Arizona's Daniels Tens. Santiago Pinna joined Mize as the only other Aggie to win multiple singles matches as he managed wins over Blake Anderson of San Diego State and Vincent Vohl of Northern Arizona. Laurendi Fischer and Matias Rojas also added wins in singles action.
 
In doubles play, NM State received strong performances from the duo of Kale Mize and Santiago Pinna as they teamed up to defeat pairs from New Mexico and Arizona on their way to reaching the finals in the top doubles flight. Sander Paradis and Tobias Wallin also earned a narrow 8-6 in the quarterfinals of the Red Flight.
