LAS CRUCES – The NM State women's tennis team dropped its final match of the regular-season to Rio Grande Rival, New Mexico, on Sunday at the NMSU Tennis Center 4-0.

The Aggies finished the regular-season with a 10-9 record and undefeated mark in Western Athletic Conference play (5-0).

Chloe Jolliff and
Lindsay Harlas gave NM State a boost to start the match with a 6-1 victory over Sharon Coone and Ludivine at No. 3 doubles. However, the Lobos answered with back-to-back wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles – including a very close 7-6 match on court No. 2.

New Mexico went up 2-0 when
Mia Brandt dropped her singles match on court No. 4 6-0, 6-2.
Eli Arnaudova fought valiantly at No. 6 singles, but eventually fell 6-4, 6-4.
Erika Castillo Lopez battled to tie the second set at 5-5, but wasn't able to force the third set to fall 6-2, 7-5.

Ashvarya Shrivastav was ahead of Andrea LeBlanc 6-4, 4-4 on court No. 1 when the match was clinched.
Rimpledeep Kaur forced a third set at No. 2 singles and was down 2-0 when it was halted while
Lindsay Harlas was up 3-2 in the second set after dropping the first set 6-3.

NM State will now have two weeks to prepare for the WAC Championships, which will begin on April 29.
