LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's tennis team cruised through its competition on Friday at the NM State Tennis Center with a 7-0 sweep of Mesa Community College.

The Aggies' No. 2 doubles team of
Vanessa Valdez and
Rebecca Keijzerwaard kept their dominance going on Friday, taking down the Thunderbirds' doubles tandem 6-1.
Fanni Novak and
Eli Arnaudova easily clinched the doubles point for NM State when they took down their counterparts 6-2 before
Rimpledeep Kaur and
Gabrielle Joyce defeated their opponents 6-3 shortly after.

Harlas put the Aggies up in a hurry once singles action starting, blanking MCC's Charlotte Lotte 6-0, 6-0. Kaur then gave NM State match point when she blast past Yolena Carlon 6-0, 6-3 before this week's Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week, Keijzerwaard, clinched the match at No. 3 doubles – 6-0, 6-4.

Elizabeth Geronimo picked up another win for the Aggies, this time at No. 5 singles when she claimed a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Valdez wrapped things up for New Mexico State with her 6-1, 6-4 victory.

Harlas and Keijzerwaard remain undefeated in dual play for the Aggies while the No. 2 doubles team of Valdez and Keijzerwaard are undefeated at 3-0 as well.

NM State will now have a couple weeks to rest before playing host to Houston on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m.
