COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The New Mexico State men's golf team wrapped up the second round of action at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the Eisenhower Golf Course on Saturday. The Aggies fired a one-under, 287, on Saturday and now sit in third with a two-day total of 571 (-5).
Michael McGilton and
Tadhg Campbell have led strong play for NM State as the golfers sit atop the individual leaderboard at first and second, respectively. McGilton followed up a four-under, 68, on day one with a 67 (-5) in round two for a total score of 135 (-9) as he leapfrogged his teammate into first place. Campbell fired a 67-71—138 (-6) and is tied for second as the Aggie also leads the field with 13 birdies after day two.
Freshman
Hogan Molthan shot a 72-75—147 (+43) and is tied for 39
th heading into the final round.
Ryo Harada and
Cameron Gambini round out the starting lineup as the golfers tied for 69
th at 152 (+8).
On moving day, Wyoming jumped into first place and posts a team score of 567 (-9), followed by Colorado in second at 568 (-8), while NM State is in third with a two-day score of 571 (-5).
