NEW ORLEANS. – For the 12th-straight season, the New Mexico State women's cross country team was recognized as an NCAA Division I All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced on Thursday.
Qualifications for the honor included a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and the squad competing at the regional level of the NCAA Championship. The Aggies concluded the 2018 season with a 3.67 GPA.
Overall, there were 427 teams that earned All-Academic distinction. The Radford women's squad posted the best GPA of the bunch at 3.87, while Southern Illinois recorded the best GPA out of any men's team at 3.67.
