The NM State men’s tennis team hits the road once again, this time for a trio of matches.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team hits the road once again this weekend as it travels to the south for a trio of matches.

The Aggies will first head to Hattiesburg, Miss., for a Sunday, March 24, showdown against Southern Miss at 10 a.m. (MT). The Golden Eagles are 5-5 on the year and 0-1 in conference play, falling to UAB 4-1. Southern Miss recently won its last match against App State 4-0 on the road.

NM State will then take a short drive to New Orleans for a 1 p.m. (MT) match against New Orleans on Monday, March 25. The Privateers are 6-7 on the season and 2-2 when playing at home. They'll Lamar first on Saturday before hosting the Aggies.

New Mexico State will remain in the Pelican State and battle Nicholls State the following day at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26. The Colonels are struggling just a bit and enter the weekend 2-7 overall with their wins coming against Prairie View A&M (5-2) and Jackson State (4-1). Nicholls State will hit the road first and play UT Rio Grande Valley on the road and Alcorn State in neutral match there before returning home to host the Aggies.

The Aggies will then finally make their return home for the first time since Jan. 27 to host the first WAC pod matches here in Las Cruces from Friday-Sunday (March 29-31).
