PEARLAND, Texas – The New Mexico State men's golf team finished up play on day one at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic. Through 36 holes, the Aggies have fired a 297-296—593 (+17) and sit in 13
th place at the end of the first day.
 
Team play for NM State has been led by 
Mike McGilton who has fired a 75-69—144 (E) and sits in a tie for 15
th. He was followed by 
Tadhg Campbell who is in a tie for 40
th after shooting a 71-78—149 (+5). McGilton's 69 (-3) was the best round score among the Aggie golfers and was tied for fourth in the tournament out of 83 for first day rounds scores.
 
Ryo Harada and 
Garrison Smith each carded a 150 (+6) and are tied for 46
th. 
Cameron Gambini rounds out the starting lineup for the Crimson & White as he sits in a tie for 80
th after firing a 78-83—161 (+17).
 
At the end of two rounds of action, the team leaderboard has Sam Houston State sitting at the top among 14 teams with a score of 569 (-7), followed by George Washington in second at 581 (+5) and UT San Antonio completes the top-three with a team total of 582 (+6).
 
The completion of the Bayou City Collegiate Classic features the final 18 holes on Tuesday, April 16. Live scoring for the entire event can be followed on
