PROVO, Utah – The New Mexico State men's golf team wrapped up the PING Cougar classic in a ninth-place tie after recording a 297-290-286—873 (+9) over three rounds at Riverside Country Club.
Tadhg Campbell had the highest finish for the Aggies as he posted a 74-69-73—213 (E) to finish a 27
th-place tie.
Mike McGilton finished one stroke behind Campbell in a tie for 30
th after firing a 73-74-70—217 (+1).
Garrison Smith (+3),
Ryo Harada (+5) and
Tanvir Kahlon finished in a tie for 41
st, tie a for 52
nd, and a tie for 76
th, respectively.
BYU took home the team title after posting a consistent 281-279-280—840 (-24) while Boise State finished second (-19). Rounding out the top three was Colorado State (-17).
New Mexico State now gets ready for the Western Athletic Conference Championship set to take place from Saturday, April 27, through Monday, April 29, at Oakbrook Golf Club in Lakewood Washington.
