LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State cross country teams begin the 2019 season with the Lobo Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 31 at the University of New Mexico North Golf Course. The collegiate 5k race is set to begin at 9:35 a.m. MT.
 
Last season, the Aggies posted solid performances against league opponents at the Western Athletic Conference Championships. The women's team finished fourth with two athletes earning all-conference honors while the men's team claimed seventh at the meet.
 
NM State returned two-time all-conference honoree Jess Dominguez for the 2019 season. As a sophomore, Dominguez finished 13^th during the 6k run at the conference championships. On the men's side, Abel Ketema and Jose Silva come back for the 2019 season. Both runners won all-conference accolades in 2017.
