LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team had another good day on the courts Saturday and is headed to the championship match in both singles and doubles.

Louis Menard and
Jordy Visser opened things up with a 6-2 win over New Mexico Military Institutes' pair of Christopher Bulus and Emmanuel Mallya for a shot at the doubles title.
Martin Simecek and
Luis Flores competed in the other semifinal match, but was unsuccessful – falling to Stewart Block and Hiroki Sakagawa 6-4.

Nicolas Buitrago and
Timothee Curnier advanced to consolation championship with a 6-1 victory over Western New Mexico's Delpino and Piplani. They'll take on Savan Chhabra and Cole Stokes from Abilene Christian.

In the Crimson flight of singles, Visser beat out Arizona's Sakagawa in a tightly consisted three-set match 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 but fell to teammate Simecek in the semifinal 6-4, 6-4. On the other side of that winner's bracket, Menard took down Flores 6-2, 6-2 before besting Bulus 7-6, 3-6, 6-1 to set up an all Aggies match-up in the title match. The consolation bracket saw Buitrago beat out Flores while Curnier fell to Sakagawa 6-2, 6-3.

The White singles flight had Herrera eke past ACU's Michael Benavidez 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 but fell in the semifinals against Arizona's Conner Olsen 6-2, 6-0.
