COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico State men's tennis freshman
Jordy Visser dropped his first match of the weekend this past Friday but was able to get back up and won the consolation draw on Sunday at the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains.

Visser came away with the 7-5, 6-2 victory over Montana's Max Korkh and finished the weekend 4-1 in singles action. In the back draw of the Blue singles draw,
Martin Simecek was bested by Denver's Sean Huynh 6-3, 6-2. Meanwhile,
Nicolas Buitrago pulled off the 7-6 (3), 6-2 win over Denver's Ignatius Castelino.

In the lone doubles match for NM State, Buitrago and Timothies Curnier got the best of Montana's team in the back draw.

The Aggies will get a couple weeks to rest at home and train before they head to Denver for the ITA Mountain Regional (Oct. 16-20).
