TUCSON, Ariz. - Facing off against one of the nation's best teams, the NM State men's tennis team found it tough to get anything going in a 7-0 loss at 24th-ranked Arizona Sunday morning at the Lanelle Robson Tennis Center.

DOUBLES
• The Wildcats took the lead quickly, securing the doubles point in less than a half-hour.
• Nicolas Buitrago and Corey Clarke lost 6-0 on line two while Martin Simecek and Petr Stavrovskij won only won game in their 6-1 setback to Hiroki Sakagawa and Carlos Hassey in third-flight action.

SINGLES
• NM State couldn't get anything going in singles play and Arizona opened up a 2-0 lead after Jordy Visser fell 6-3, 6-0 to Nick Lagaev in third-flight play.
• Buitrago found himself matched up against #54 Filip Malbasic on line two and fell 6-1, 6-3 to the nationally-ranked player.
• Arizona clinched the match after Simecek fell 6-2, 6-3 to Jett Middleton in a fourth-flight match.
• The teams continued to play the remainder of the matches after Arizona clinched with Louis Menard falling 6-1, 6-3 to Alejandro Reguant in top-flight play.
• Stavrovskij and Conner Olsen played a tight opening set in their one-on-one match on line six, but Olsen emerged as a 7-5, 6-2 winner.
• Gijs Akkermans and Sakagawa wrapped up the morning match as Arizona cliched the sweep with Sakagawa's 6-3, 6-4 win.
