U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – NM State reached the conclusion of its competition in the month of September as they finished up a three-day event in Colorado.
In their second weekend of action, the Aggies closed out the weekend with a pair of wins in singles play.
Henrik Lynum earned his first victory of the weekend as he dominated Utah's Charlie Spina to win 6-0, 6-3. Joining Lynum in the win column was
Jordy Visser. In the Raptor Draw, Visser defeated Brad Buckland of Montana State (6-4, 6-3) in the finals of the south bracket.
Visser also found success in doubles play as he teamed up with
Itay Feigin to knock off Spina and Applegate of Utah, 6-2. The tandem of
Corey Clarke and
Roko Stipetic also battled to a victory as they beat Denver's Olsen and Johnson, 6-2.
UP NEXT
The Aggies will return to action three weekends from now when they make the trip to rival territory in Albuquerque, N.M., to compete in the ITA Regional Championship. The event will begin on Thursday, Oct. 13, while play will wrap up on Monday, Oct. 17.
