NM State Drops Match to Nevada on Saturday in Arizona

Aggies fall 4-0 to Nevada on Saturday afternoon

Box Score TEMPE, Ariz.  – The Aggies concluded day two  in Arizona with a match versus Nevada, falling 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Kiwanis Tennis Center.
 
DOUBLES
  • Corey Clarke and Jordy Visser started the Aggies' day on a high note as the tandem picked up a 6-4 win over Nevada's Matheo Coupu and Delmas N'Tcha.
  • Although, the Wolf Pack would eventually go on to pick up wins in the remaining two matches to earn the doubles point. 
SINGLES
  • In singles action, Corey Clarke pushed his counterpart to a third set as he won the opening set 6-3 before dropping the second set 1-6. Clarke would find himself with a 3-1 lead in the third set when Nevada clinched the match.
  • Luca Fé D'Ostiani also worked his match into a third set as he bounced back from a 3-6 loss in the first set to win 7-5 in the second frame. The sophomore jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third before the match conclude. 
UP NEXT
After a weekend in Arizona, the Aggies will have 11 days with no action before heading to California to compete in the Golden State Invitational in Sacramento, Calif.
