TUCSON, Ariz. – The Aggies are headed west. NM State will officially open its fall schedule this weekend as they travel to Tucson, Ariz., where they will compete in the Wildcat Invitational hosted by the University of Arizona.
 
Joining the Aggies and Wildcats in Tucson will be Northern Arizona, Gonzaga, New Mexico and UNLV. Doubles play is set to kick off the tournament and will begin at 9 a.m. (MT) while singles play will follow shortly after. In total, there are five singles draws and a pair of doubles draws.
 
THE 2023 AGGIES
Much of the NM State men's team will look familiar as six of the nine Aggies are returners from one season ago. Despite bringing back the majority of the 2022 season, this year's team will be tasked with filing gaps left behind by two of the most productive Aggies from last year in Corey Clarke and Jordy Visser.
 
Leading the way among the returners will likely be junior Itay Feigin, sophomore Roko Stipetic and junior Luca Fé D'Ostiani who each consistently appeared on lines two, three or four during the spring season. Also returning to take the court for the Aggies this year will be Patrick Lohmann, Henrik Lynum and Vassanth Mathan.
 
The Aggies will also receive a boost from a trio of newcomers, led by former NJCAA ITA All-American Gustavo Campos who transferred in this summer after spending two years at Barton Community College. Joining Campos on the list of newcomers are freshmen Ricardo Mercado and Tobias Wallin.
