DALLAS - This season represents multiple firsts in Aggie history - its first year in Conference USA and its first season under Head Coach Jake Angier.
Keith Jones II also becomes the first Aggie to be named to the Preseason All-CUSA list as he comes off an impactful season last year.
Last season Jones had a team high .317 batting average while also leading the team in doubles (12). Jones recorded a total of 63 hits, including nine home runs to help him rack up a slugging percentage of .600. Jones also had 29 RBIs which was fifth on the team.
Additionally, Jones led the team in on-base percentage (.483), being walked 35 times and hit by pitch four times. When he was on base Jones made his presence felt as he recorded seven steals on the season and was driven in 45 times.
Jones also had an impact in the field as he had 57 putouts and one assist to finish his junior campaign with a fielding percentage of .967.
The Aggies have a long road ahead of them as they were picked to finish in last place based on the votes from the league's head coaches.
