Box Score 2 TUCSON, Ariz. – NM State took to the courts for a doubleheader against one of the top teams in the nation as they traveled to the Grand Canyon State to take on No. 9 Arizona on Sunday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

Despite
Patrick Lohmann and
Ricardo Mercado putting up a fight at No. 3, the Wildcats secured the doubles point with wins on the top two lines.
NM State later collected its lone victory of the day as
Gustavo Campos collected a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win over Arizona's Inaki Cabrera. This marked Campos' fourth singles win in his first spring with the Aggies. Unfortunately, the Wildcats claimed victories in each of the other five singles matches to defeat the Aggies.

In the second half of the doubleheader, the Aggies were defeated 7-0 with their best showing coming from
Tobias Wallin at No. 1 who pushed his Wildcat counterpart to three sets before falling 10-7 in a tightly contested tiebreaker.

NM State will have the upcoming week off before traveling to Edinburg, Texas, where they will meet up with Morgan State and UTRGV on Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, respectively.
