Aggies Visit Abilene for Pair of Midweek Matches

| By:

NM State faces Omaha on Tuesday before meeting Abilene Christian on Wednesday.

ABILENE, Texas – Just two days after wrapping up a weekend in Edinburg, Texas, the Aggies will travel north to compete in a pair of matches against Omaha and Abilene Christian at the John T.L. Jones Tennis Building.

FIRST SERVE
  • The Aggies will look to build off a momentous win over Morgan State on Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Bears 4-0 to collect their fifth win of the season.
  • Against the Bears, NM State received a big lift from Tobias Wallin and Gustavo Campos who teamed up to help the Aggies earn the doubles point before splitting up to earn a pair of wins in singles play. With the win, Campos is now tied for the team lead in singles wins with five.
  • Campos and Wallin have also been the best Aggie tandem this season – combining to tally a 7-5 record on the No. 1 line for the Aggies.
  • Wednesday, the Aggies will be seeking their first win over Abilene Christian since 2014 and most recently fell 6-1 to the Wildcats on April 16, 2023, in Abilene.
  • Entering Tuesday, Omaha holds an 11-7 record during the spring season while ACU sits at 7-9 on the year.
UP NEXT
Following the Aggies' extended stay in Texas, the team will return home for its final home match of the year as they are set to host Lubbock Christian on Sunday, April 7.
