DALLAS – NM State junior
Itay Feigin earned one of just six spots on the Conference USA All-Academic team, the league announced on Friday morning. This marks the first-ever CUSA All-Academic selection in program history.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore class, have a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in 75% of the team's matches.
Feigin, a junior from Ashdod, Israel, has represented the Aggies on lines one and two this season and currently ranks third on the team in singles wins with four. He also recently joined forces with
Ricardo Mercado in doubles play and the pair have put together a 2-1 record and are currently riding a two-match winning streak.
Feigin also recently earned the program's first CUSA Athlete of the Week selection after helping lead the Aggies to a 4-3 win over Lubbock Christian.
