NM State Men Head to Albuquerque for Rivalry Bout

Aggies to take on Lobos on Saturday.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After closing out their home schedule last weekend, NM State heads to Albuquerque, N.M., where they are scheduled to take on New Mexico on Saturday at 6 p.m. During the trip, NM State will be seeking its first win over its rival since 2018.
 
FIRST SERVE
  • Last weekend, NM State concluded its home schedule as they welcomed Lubbock Christian on Sunday afternoon. Despite some strong resistance from the Chaps, NM State emerged with a 4-3 victory.
  • After a strong Sunday in which he was the lone Aggie to earn wins in both doubles and singles action, junior Itay Feigin garnered CUSA Athlete of the Week honors to become the first Aggie ever to do so. Feigin also claimed CUSA All-Academic honors on Friday morning.
  • Entering Saturday, Tobias Wallin's eight singles wins lead all Aggies with both Gustavo Campos and Patrick Lohmann are tied for second with six wins apiece.
  • Campos also leads all Aggies in doubles wins with nine to his name this spring.
  • Entering the week, UNM currently holds an overall record of 11-8, including a 2-1 record against Mountain West opponents. Most recently, they fell 4-3 to San Diego State on April 8 in San Diego.

UP NEXT
Following the Battle of I-25, the Aggies will travel to Cookeville, Tenn., where they will take on Tennessee Tech in their regular season finale. This will also serve as a final opportunity to fine tune their skills before the CUSA Tournament begins on Saturday, April 20.
