LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The fall season is officially underway as the Aggies started action today in Tucson, Ariz., at the Wildcat Invitational.Â
In his first day donning the Crimson and White, newcomer Holland Snell defeated Northern Arizona's Jakub Volesky in the Bravo Draw to put the Aggies on the board. Snell logged a straight-set win over his Lumberjack counterpart – winning 7-6 (7-0), 6-4.Â
Along with Snell, key returner Itay Feigin grabbed a victory over Grand Canyon's Jonathan Da Sliva in straight sets in the Foxtrot Draw Round Robin to account for the Aggies' second win of the day. Feigin's win would come by way of a 6-3, 7-6 (4-0) score over his opponent. Despite tough effort by NM State, the Aggies failed to secure a win in doubles action. The Aggies will return to action on Saturday morning at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.Â
