Aggies Head to Las Vegas for UNLV Quad

NM State looks to build on win against Loyola Marymount.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After facing tough competition in their opening week, including matchups against #6 Arizona and #18 Arizona State, the Aggies closed out their road trip on a high note with a win over Loyola Marymount. This momentum carries them into this week's action at the UNLV Quad in Las Vegas, Nev., where they will compete in three matches over the weekend. 

The Aggies open the event on Friday, Jan. 24, against UC Riverside. On Saturday, Jan. 25, they face the host team, UNLV, before wrapping up the weekend with a matchup against Weber State on Sunday, Jan. 26. 

LAST TIME OUT | VS Loyola Marymount (Jan. 23) 

In the Aggies last match, they finished their road trip in Arizona with a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Loyola Marymount, marking their first win of the spring season. A strong showing in singles and doubles play propelled the Aggies to the win, highlighted by three singles victories and two clutch doubles triumphs in a tightly contested matchup. 

Sophomore transfer Lance Urlaub delivered an impressive performance, showcasing his skills in both singles and doubles play. He capped off the team's singles success with a commanding 6-0, 6-4 victory over Cesar Cruz. Urlaub then partnered with Itay Feigin in doubles action, where the duo battled to secure a hard-fought 7-5 win against Nikola Kuraica and Arthur Pantino in a tightly contested match.
